Lightning has struck twice for the University of Kentucky Symphony Orchestra. A couple years ago, when university representatives contacted violin virtuoso Itzhak Perlman’s management to see about getting him to come play with the student orchestra, they were told it would never happen. As of 9 p.m. Sunday night, it has happened two times in as many years.
